Season's starting. You've got 16 players, a registration deadline, and a coach asking when the kit arrives. Whether you're organising gear for a local club, a school team, or a junior academy, getting a team order right the first time saves you weeks of back-and-forth.
At Soccer World, we've been helping Brisbane clubs kit out their squads for over 25 years. This guide walks you through exactly what's involved — what to order, how numbering and printing works, and how to pick up or receive your gear without the hassle.
Club administrators, coaches, school sport coordinators, and parents organising gear for junior teams across Brisbane and Queensland. Whether it's your first team order or your tenth, the process below applies.
What Goes Into a Team Order
A complete team kit covers more than just jerseys. Most coaches ordering for a full squad will need some combination of:
- Jerseys — playing or training jerseys in club colours, sized for each player
- Shorts — plain club shorts to match the jersey
- Socks — football socks in the right colour for each size
- Shin guards — mandatory for most competitions; often bought in bulk for juniors
- Bibs — essential for training, usually ordered in sets of 10–15 in two contrasting colours
- Numbering and printing — player numbers, names, and custom club logos applied to jerseys
Below we've broken each category down with what's available to order now from soccerworld.com.au, along with tips on what to look for when buying for a squad rather than a single player.
Training Bibs
Bibs are the most underrated item in a team order. They're used every single training session, they get lost constantly, and they matter more than most coaches realise. Get two contrasting colours so you can run split-squad drills without confusion.
Patrick Training Bibs
Available in 7 colours — Yellow, Green, Blue, Red, White, Fluoro Pink, and Fluoro Orange. Lightweight mesh construction, fits over any playing shirt. Order a set of 10–15 in two colours for split-squad training sessions. Sizes from XS through to XL.
Browse All Bibs →Club Shorts
For teams that want a consistent look without the cost of a full custom kit, plain club shorts are the practical choice. They're durable, wash well across a long season, and available in sizes that cover junior through to senior players.
Cigno Club Shorts
Available in Black and White. Lightweight, moisture-wicking fabric with an elastic waistband and drawstring. Suitable for training and match play. Runs true to size — order one size up for younger players between sizes. Great for clubs wanting a clean, consistent look on a budget.
Shop Cigno Teamwear →Football Socks
Socks get overlooked until three players turn up to game day in different colours. Order enough for every player plus a few spares — they go missing faster than shin guards.
Cigno Alley Football Socks
Available in Black and White. Reinforced toe and heel construction built for regular training and match use. Three size options covering junior through to adult feet. Simple, reliable, and priced right for bulk orders. Stock up — you'll always need more than you think.
Shop All Socks →Shin Guards
Required for all FFA-affiliated competitions — and most school competitions too. For junior teams, shin guards often need replacing every season as kids grow. Buying in bulk saves trips back to the store mid-season.
Premier Shin Guards — Detachable Ankle Protection
Hard-shell front pad with foam backing and a detachable ankle brace for players who want added support. Lightweight enough that players actually wear them — which matters more than you'd think. Comes in sizes Small through to Large, covering junior and adult players.

This is where a team order becomes a proper kit. Soccer World's in-house printing service applies player numbers, names, and custom logos directly to jerseys — no outsourcing, no waiting weeks.
Printing is done in-store at Stafford. You bring the jerseys, we handle the rest. Here's what's available:
Standard Jersey Numbers (8 inch / 20cm)
Heat-applied standard block numbers in White or Black. 8 inch (20cm) height — the standard for senior and junior competition jerseys. For a squad of 15, expect to budget around $100 for a full set of back numbers. Fast turnaround in-store.

Custom Club Logo
Add your club badge or sponsor logo to any jersey. Bring your artwork in a vector or high-resolution PNG format and we'll handle the rest. Great for clubs with an established identity who want everything looking consistent on match day. Priced per application.
Browse Printing Services →Name printing (standard letters) is also available from $2.00 per letter. A full name on a senior jersey runs to around $12–18 depending on character count. Most club orders stick to numbers only for juniors and add names for senior squads.
How It Works — Placing a Team Order
There's no complex process. Here's how most clubs and schools do it:
Choose Your Gear
Browse the teamwear range online or come instore at Stafford to see the options in person. Bring your colour requirements and squad size.
Confirm Sizes
Collect sizes from all players before ordering. For juniors, order one size up from what they're wearing — they'll grow into it by season's end.
Order & Pay Online or Instore
Place your order online with free shipping over $150, or Click & Collect from our Stafford store if you need it faster or want to check the gear first.

Shop Teamwear NowSchool Orders & Junior Academy Packs
Schools and junior academies have slightly different needs — mainly around size range and budget. A few things that make school orders easier:
- Order a size distribution, not a fixed list. For a school squad of 20 juniors aged 10–14, a rough split of 4S / 6M / 6L / 4XL covers most body types without needing individual size confirmation from every family.
- Bibs over full kits for school sport. If budget is tight, bibs over plain PE gear is a legitimate starting point. Patrick bibs at $7.50 each mean a 15-player training set runs to around $110.
- Shin guards in bulk. Schools often order 20+ shin guards at a time. Having spares in the kit bag means you're never waiting on a parent who forgot.
- Free shipping on orders over $150. A modest team order of socks, shorts, and shin guards for a squad of 10 will comfortably clear that threshold.
For established clubs ordering multiple kits across age groups — contact us directly. We can work through bulk quantities and coordinate printing across multiple jerseys in one visit, saving you multiple trips to the store.
What Clubs Order Year After Year
After 25 years of team orders, a few items come up every season without fail:
| Item | Typical Qty (per squad) | Avg Cost per Player |
|---|---|---|
| Training Bibs (2 colours) | 15–20 each colour | $7.50 |
| Club Shorts | 1 per player + 2 spare | $20.00 |
| Football Socks | 2 pairs per player | $28.00 |
| Shin Guards | 1 per player + 2 spare | $25.00 |
| Jersey Numbering | 1 number per jersey | $6.50 |
A full non-jersey kit per player (shorts, two pairs of socks, shin guards, and a numbered training bib) comes to around $87 per head — competitive for Brisbane club gear.
